Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our medical billing operations as a Charge Entry Specialist. This role involves reviewing assigned encounter forms for accuracy and completeness before claims submission, entering visit and service codes into the practice management system daily, verifying batches of charges entered for errors prior to submission, maintaining accurate records of original documentation and tracking all paperwork, verifying patient eligibility, adding correct payers, and ensuring correct electronic and paper submission. Additionally, this role requires completing accurate charge entry for assigned cases and uploading to designated electronic claims clearing house daily, as well as staying up-to-date on healthcare billing laws, rules, regulations, and developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review assigned encounter forms for accuracy and completeness.
  • Enter visit and service codes into the practice management system daily.
  • Verify batches of charges entered for errors prior to submission.
  • Maintain accurate records of original documentation and track all paperwork.
  • Verify patient eligibility and add correct payers.
  • Ensure correct electronic and paper submission.
  • Complete accurate charge entry for assigned cases and upload to designated electronic claims clearing house daily.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Work Arrangements:
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights.
