About DevOps Engineering Role

As a key member of our tech team, you'll be working on designing and implementing cloud-based microservices architecture to support the data platform. This will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless integration and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cloud Architecture Design: Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based microservices architecture that supports the data platform.
  2. CI/CD Pipelines and Tools: Collaborate with engineers to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Gradle, Terraform, and Chef.
  3. Infrastructure Deployment: Automate infrastructure deployment as code using Docker, Docker Compose, and ECS.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • DevOps Expertise: Strong understanding of core concepts of DevOps, microservices, systems administration, and monitoring/alerting.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in languages like Python, Java, and Shell Scripting.
  • Build and Infrastructure Tools: Experience with Gradle, Terraform, Chef, Docker, Docker Compose, and ECS.
  • Databases: Knowledge of MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, and Elastic Stack.
  • Version Control Systems: Familiarity with Git and Bitbucket.
  • Operating Systems: Strong Linux administration skills (Ubuntu, Fedora, Amazon Linux).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, time management, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
