We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Accounts Officer to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to assist the Finance Manager in implementing company finance policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's/Master's Degree preferably in Accounting and Finance/Commerce with a minimum of 0-1 years of experience in the relevant field in well-reputed organizations.

The role involves assisting the Finance Manager in managing and supervising all resources and functions of the department related to finance, preparing reports and analysis based on data provided, and communicating with bank personnel on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the Finance Manager in formulating and implementing admin and finance policies and procedures.
  • Conducting performance appraisals of personnel and probation completion sessions related to the admin department.
  • Initiating disciplinary actions through investigation and resolving any issues or grievances among team members or personnel of the admin staff.
  • Managing and supervising all resources and functions of the department related to finance.
  • Preparing reports and analysis based on the data provided.
  • Preparation of cash book and bank book.
  • Preparation of salaries.
  • Preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  • Reviewing expenses, payroll records, etc., as assigned.
  • Communicating with bank personnel on a daily basis.
  • Supervising and managing all day-to-day office administrative activities.
  • Implementing policies and procedures for lower staff to ensure fair usage of company assets, code of ethics, and company policies.
  • Supervising and ensuring quality work of office boys with regards to finance.
  • Overseeing the security staff and ensuring the safety of office stock and assets.
  • Handling all relevant external affairs of the company.
  • Handling daily routine purchasing for the company.
  • Updating financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when needed.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • Must be a business graduate in finance or related fields from an accredited university.
  • Must have knowledge about QuickBooks/bookkeeping & double entry.
  • Must have a good academic and conceptual understanding of finance functions, concepts, and theories.
  • Must have some proven professional working experience in finance skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned projects and tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with other teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-learner and self-starter.
  • Utilize time effectively and efficiently.
