Job Title: HIPAA & Privacy Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant privacy laws.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance or potential risks related to PHI.
  • Implement corrective action plans to address findings from audits, working closely with relevant departments.
  • Monitor changes in HIPAA regulations and industry best practices, updating policies and procedures accordingly.

HIPAA Compliance Specialist Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in HIPAA compliance, in a US medical billing setting.
  • Thorough knowledge of US HIPAA regulations, Privacy Rule, Security Rule, and Breach Notification Rule.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry standards for safeguarding PHI, including electronic PHI (ePHI).
About the Role:

This is a senior-level position that requires a strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and risk management principles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and implementing HIPAA policies and procedures, conducting compliance audits, and managing risk mitigation strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintaining accurate records of compliance activities, audits, training sessions, and incident reports.
