Customer Engagement Representative

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong ability to engage with customers and convert them into sales. You will be the first point of contact for new appliance buyers, answering their calls and registering their appliances.

The primary goal is to upsell customers on extended warranties that cover appliances not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. You will need to clearly promote the benefits of these products and convey them in a way that resonates with the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls and register appliance registrations.
  • Upsell customers on extended warranties for uncovered appliances.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers through clear communication and active listening.
  • Ability to probe and discover customer needs to propose suitable product offers.
  • Clearly articulate the benefits and features of the products being sold.
  • Provide rebuttals to customer questions and concerns to ensure sales are made.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the products offered.
  • Address all customer inquiries about the products.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of call center experience required.
  • At least 1 year of direct-to-consumer sales experience required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
  • Flexibility in scheduling and excellent attendance history are essential.
  • Candidates must pass a background check, oral drug screen, speed test, and skills assessments.
  • Maintain KPI metrics.
  • Proficiency in using multiple computer programs and navigating dual monitors is expected.
  • Strong attention to detail, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills are necessary.
