We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to fill this critical role.

Job Description

This is a full-time position that involves electronically billing third-party patient claims, processing rejections, posting insurance payments, and creating monthly patient statements. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing their expertise to ensure timely and accurate data entry of payments received from third-party payers.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of three years of experience in medical billing is required. This includes proficiency in utilizing various billing software applications, as well as one year of previous healthcare-related billing experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are necessary, as the ideal candidate will be able to effectively interact with patients, providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is also required.

  • Timely and accurate data entry of payments received from third-party payers.
  • Processing of all rejected and denied claims submitted to third-party payers.
  • Ability to work with EOB or EOP CPT AND ICD 10 codes.
  • Reconciling daily cash receipts from insurance carriers with database and submitting to supervisor at the end of the workday.
  • Entering pertinent patient information/details in the Health Center database completely and accurately.
  • Using problem-solving skills to follow up on commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid denials.
  • Answering phones when necessary.
  • Attending all scheduled work sites and shifts on time and being fully prepared to engage in all job responsibilities.
