Technical Project Manager Job Description

At our company, we are seeking a skilled Technical Project Manager to lead our software development projects. This is a key role that will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to gather and define project requirements.
  • Take ownership of all communication, including status reporting, risk management, and escalation of issues.
  • Set and manage client expectations early on, being aware of potential issues that require proactive communication.
  • Encourage a positive working environment across disciplines and teams, resulting in stronger alignment and project coordination.
  • Oversee and support the analysis, design, and development of mobile and web application development projects.
  • Implement Agile-based methodologies to ensure quality delivery of projects within the allocated timeline.
  • Lead the team with an agile mindset by transferring company culture and values to junior resources.
  • Manage and lead a team of software developers, SQAs, and designers.
  • Assign tasks to team members and ensure implementation as per requirements.
  • Manage multiple tasks at a time and use innovative management techniques.
  • Coach and mentor the software development team.
  • Collaborate with all project delivery teams with one team approach.

Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 6-8 years of software development work experience with 1-2 years in the capacity of Project/Development Manager/Lead.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing projects using Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Good programming and analytical concepts.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of implementing at least one Agile Framework.
  • Hands-on experience with project management tools.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully leading teams.
  • Experience of working in an offshore software development environment is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
