Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Financial Transactions and Maintain Ledger Accuracy.
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable and Receivable, Prepare VAT Returns, and Manage VAT Calculations.
  • Collaborate with the Tax Team to Prepare Accurate Corporate and Individual Tax Returns.
  • Review Accounting Processes, VAT Calculations, and Tax Return Preparation for Junior Staff.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualified with 3-5 years of experience working remotely.
  • Proven proficiency in Xero, FreeAgent, Sage Line 50, VTT+, Iris, and Taxcalc accounting software.
  • Data migration from Sage Line 50 to Xero is beneficial.
  • Strong understanding of VAT, accounting principles, and UK tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with mentoring capabilities.
  • A proactive team player with a positive attitude.
  • Experience with video conferencing and collaboration tools for remote work is desirable.
