About the Role

We're looking for a skilled professional to design and implement distributed inference systems. This role will involve developing platforms for optimized serving of well-known open-source models.

  • Designing and implementing distributed inference platforms for optimized model serving
  • Ongoing optimization of runtime and infrastructure layers for best model performance
  • Building native cross-platform support across NVIDIA and AMD GPUs for various model architectures
  • Contributing to open-source inference engines to enhance their performance on our cloud
  • Developing tooling and observability to monitor system health and auto-tuning capabilities
  • Benchmark frameworks to test model-serving performance and guide system tuning efforts

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience building distributed systems with Kubernetes, gRPC, Go, and Python
  • Knowledge of GPU programming with CUDA and ROCm
  • Understanding of network protocols, block storage, and object storage
  • Proven track record defining and achieving performance KPIs (latency, throughput)

Prior Experience
  • Experience with one or more inference engines: vLLM, SGLang, Modular
  • Familiarity with distributed inference serving frameworks - llm-d, NVIDIA dynamo, Ray Serve
  • Knowledge of distributed inference optimization techniques - tensor parallelism, KV cache optimizations
  • Familiarity with common LLM architectures and inference optimization techniques
