Job Description\

As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of cell site infrastructure. This includes power equipment inspection, calibrating power equipment to adapt to specific needs, ensuring safe and efficient cell site operations.

The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Mobile Base Unit (MBU), inspecting and maintaining power equipment, and performing regular checks on Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).

\

You will also identify and troubleshoot causes of Diesel Generator problems and failures, perform ATP of Diesel Generators after overhauling, identify and rectify Direct Current Alternating Current (DCAC) faults, and ensure all tower operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues\
  • Maintain KPIs of MBU (NAR, TCH, PM success rate)\
  • Inspect and maintain power equipment\
  • Installation, maintenance, and repair of ATS\
  • Installation, troubleshooting, and diagnostic testing of Rectifiers and Rectifier batteries\
  • Identify and troubleshoot causes of Diesel Generator problems and failures\
  • Perform ATP of Diesel Generators after overhauling\
  • Identification and rectification of DCAC faults\
  • Ensure all tower operations are conducted safely and efficiently\
  • Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisor\
  • Maintain accurate records of tower operations\
  • Telco Spares and inventory management of cell sites\
  • Ensures that Preventive Maintenance (PM) should be performed by vendor with good quality\
  • Resolve sales and corporate complaints of assigned MBU within 24 hours\
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine proper installation of tower components\
  • Follow all safety regulations and HSE protocols\
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals\
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities\
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices\
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development\
