Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Collections Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting customers to collect outstanding payments and trace individuals who have skipped on their financial obligations.

  • Contact customers via phone, email, or letter to identify them and collect outstanding payments.
  • Use various research techniques to trace individuals who have skipped on their financial obligations.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers.
  • Trace individuals and businesses to confirm their current addresses and notify them about any issues related to energy use.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all customer interactions.
  • Elevate unresolved cases to the relevant stakeholders.

About You

To succeed in this role, you should possess strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. You should also have attention to detail and be able to accurately maintain records.

  • Prior experience in a collections or skip tracing role is preferred, especially in the call center or customer service industry.
  • Familiarity with debt collection legislation and regulations is essential.
  • Proficiency in using various research tools and databases is required.
