Product Copywriter

The role involves creating engaging product descriptions for e-commerce platforms, ensuring brand consistency and accuracy. It requires collaboration with various teams to attain key product initiatives and communicate product lifecycle experience.

Key responsibilities include writing and editing clear, concise product copy descriptions every season, auditing website regularly to ensure product copy is accurate and consistent, responding to in-season product copy edits from Ecom partners swiftly and accurately, tracking product copy progress and upcoming deadlines, partnering with Digital Marketing team to conduct keyword research, identify relevant & optimized content for search engines, increase visibility of brands/products, track performance & effectiveness of copy and adjusting as needed, and maintaining and organizing Master Product Copy Guide with the latest brand writing standards.

  • Key Accountabilities:
  • Write and edit clear, concise, and effective website product copy descriptions every season, ensuring brand consistency using our Master Product Copy guide.
  • Collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, and Marketing teams to attain and communicate key product initiatives and product lifecycle experience.
  • Audit website regularly to ensure product copy is accurate, consistent, and updated at all times.
  • Respond to in-season product copy edits from Ecom partners swiftly and accurately.
  • Track product copy progress and upcoming deadlines.
  • Partner with Digital Marketing team to conduct keyword research, identify relevant & optimized content for search engines, increase visibility of brands/products, track performance & effectiveness of copy and adjusting as needed.
  • Help maintain and organize Master Product Copy Guide with the latest brand writing standards.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • 1-3+ years in a product copywriting role (fashion, retail or lifestyle brands a plus).
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in English, Writing, Journalism, Communications, Fashion or related field preferred.
  • Retail experience and/or strong knowledge of fashion & retail industry standards.

Skills:

  • Excellent grammar, writing, proofreading, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and with strong problem-solving instincts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Product Lifecycle Management, and Product Inventory Management tools.
  • Flexibility/ability to work in a fast-paced, multiple deadline-driven environment without sacrificing quality.
  • A collaborative spirit and good sense of fun—you'll be working on a brand that delights kids.
