Closing & Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Closing and Reporting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the entity's accounting, governance, month-end closing, and financial reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closings and group reporting in accordance with deadlines set by Group HQ, including preparation and review of journal vouchers and management judgments, addressing system validation issues during closing runs, booking valuation allowances for receivables and inventories, lease accounting in compliance with IFRS 16 and related reporting, recording adjustments for foreign exchange (FX) and embedded derivatives (ED), and general ledger (GL) monitoring, balance sheet reviews, and cleansing activities.
  • Group Reporting Requirements: Manage other group reporting requirements, including Order Backlog, Reach Reporting, Additional Statements Reporting (ADSTAR), etc.
  • Statutory Financial Statements: Prepare quarterly & annual statutory financial statements of the Company and ensure all relevant disclosures are in line with the latest International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and all other laws applicable in Pakistan.
  • Audit Support: Prepare and review audit reports, and support both internal and external audit activities.
  • Financial Presentations: Compile and present monthly and quarterly financial information and presentations for senior management, the Board of Directors, and its Committees.
  • Stakeholder Support: Liaise with business units to provide support on accounting, controlling, and reporting matters, build awareness and provide guidance to stakeholders on Financial Reporting Guidelines and global accounting initiatives, conduct periodic reviews and financial statement analysis for various business units, act as a solution provider for ERP-related issues impacting accounting and reporting, and support implementation of change requests.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: ACCA Qualified or CA Finalist
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting
  • Skills: Strong understanding of IFRS, understanding of Group Reporting tools and procedures and FRG, proficient in using MS office applications and SAP, good communication, collaboration, and presentation and interpersonal skills, fluent in speaking English.
