Job Description

We are seeking a skilled WordPress Backend Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality WordPress custom themes and plugins.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core PHP/MySQL, as well as experience with building WordPress CMS websites using best practices.

You will work closely with our cross-functional team to create bespoke WordPress themes from scratch or customize existing themes for pixel-perfect design and compatibility.

  • Design and implement high-quality WordPress custom themes and plugins.
  • Develop and maintain scalable and secure WordPress websites.
  • Work collaboratively with the development team to ensure seamless integration with other applications.
  • Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal website performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest web technologies and programming practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in WordPress backend development.
  • Excellent knowledge of Core PHP/MySQL and WordPress core functionality.
  • Strong proficiency in customising, developing, and integrating WordPress backend & themes.
  • Ability to create e-commerce websites using WooCommerce.
  • Proficiency in Git for version control and setting up continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
