Skillful Backend Developers are sought after to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining server-side logic and database architecture of web applications.

About the Role

This position requires strong expertise in backend development principles, particularly in either the MERN stack or Laravel framework. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with frontend developers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and robust applications.

Responsibilities:
  1. Design and implement robust and scalable backend systems using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React) or the Laravel framework (PHP).
  2. Create and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate with frontend applications and other services.
  3. Develop clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  4. Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend.
  5. Work with databases (MongoDB or MySQL/other relational databases) to design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure data integrity.
  6. Implement security best practices to protect applications from vulnerabilities.
  7. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
  8. Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and development environments.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications:
  1. 2+ years of experience in backend development.
  2. Strong proficiency in either the MERN stack or the Laravel framework.
  3. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  4. Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  5. Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  6. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  7. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  8. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Points:

  1. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  2. Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  3. Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, PHPUnit).
  4. Contributions to open-source projects.
