Job Title: Product Category Manager
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing product categories, including vendor relations, product maintenance, and stock management. The role requires strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Vendor Relations
- Establish strong relationships with manufacturers to drive business growth and profitability.
- Evaluate new products before introducing them to the market to ensure they meet business needs and customer requirements.
- Develop and implement effective product code creation and management processes to optimize inventory levels and minimize waste.
- Set prices and make price changes using in-house pricing tools to stay competitive in the market.
- Work closely with the purchasing team to optimize stock levels and manage stock age profiles to minimize inventory costs.
- Identify stocking requirements, including special offers, constraint items, and advance orders.
- Communication Skills: Strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners.
- IT Literacy: Proficiency in IT systems and tools used for product management and inventory control.
