Job Title: Category Manager

We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional to lead our category management team. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive growth and profitability in our dairy, tea, and coffee categories.

Your primary objective will be to identify opportunities to improve sales and profitability through effective vendor negotiation, market analysis, and inventory management. You will work closely with our suppliers to build strong relationships and ensure that we have the right products in stock at the right time.

As a strategic thinker with strong analytical and communication skills, you will be able to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business results. You will also be responsible for forecasting demand, managing purchase cycles, and preventing stockouts and overstocking.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement category management strategies to drive growth and profitability
  • Negotiate with vendors to secure better prices and terms
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform category decisions
  • Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking
  • Forecast demand and adjust purchasing accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of experience in sales or purchasing for the dairy or tea and coffee category
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Experience working with Google Sheets/Excel
