Audit and Accounting Management Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Audit and Accounting Assistant Manager. This individual will be responsible for overseeing audit engagements, reviewing financial reporting deliverables, managing accounting projects, and providing technical guidance to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and review audit, review, and compilation engagements in accordance with industry standards
  • Assist in planning and executing external audits for clients across various sectors
  • Review working papers, financial statements, and client deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Manage a team of junior and intermediate accountants, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing coaching
  • Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information, clarify queries, and deliver high-quality service
  • Conduct quality reviews of bookkeeping, reconciliations, and year-end closing entries
  • Provide accounting advisory on complex transactions and assist in implementing accounting policies and procedures
  • Evaluate timelines, budgets, and quality standards for all engagements
  • Collaborate with senior management to enhance internal processes and client satisfaction
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP (ASPE/IFRS) and audit methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
