Electrical Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team.

  • This role involves evaluating and participating in compliance testing throughout development, ensuring results meet expectations and providing recommendations for improvement.
  • The successful candidate will coordinate and review electrical design drawings, documents, and vendors submitted by contractors or consultants to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Maintaining quality assurance and quality control processes is a key responsibility, as well as minimizing end user comments and non-compliances during commissioning.
  • The engineer will perform electrical engineering analysis and design tasks, such as determining optimal electrical system configurations and identifying energy savings opportunities.
  • Ensuring that installations and operations conform to industry standards and install electrical appliances according to specifications and technical drawings is also crucial.
  • The engineer must ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and department requirements by directing or coordinating installation, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
  • Conducting research and evaluation of electrical appliances, components, and applications to inform design and implementation decisions is essential.
  • Maintaining electrical systems by establishing and enforcing preventive and ongoing maintenance programs, scheduling repairs, and coordinating shutdowns and installations is another important duty.
  • The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies for troubleshooting operational issues and reviewing power plant operations.
  • Preparing specifications for equipment and material purchases installed by the department is also required.
  • The engineer will assist in planning, costing, and budgeting of maintenance services, new installations, and consumables.
  • Routine inspections of electrical and electronics machinery/equipment and its maintenance are necessary.
  • The engineer must identify and assess risks under management/ownership and develop response strategies.
  • Monitoring risks and response strategies under management and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of risk reporting information is critical.

Besides these duties, the candidate should be able to perform other tasks assigned by senior management.
