Job Title: Mechanical Systems Specialist

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mechanical Systems Specialist. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of mechanical and hydraulic systems across various divisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To repair and overhaul critical components such as Hydraulic Axial Piston Pumps, Vain Pumps, Bent Axis Pumps, Gear Pumps, and hydraulic motors.
  • Maintenance and repair of vital hydraulic valves like Servo Proportional Valves, Proportional Valves, Directional Control Valves, Pressure Reducing Valves, and Pneumatic control valves.
  • To read and review process data sheets, piping & instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and detail engineering specifications.
  • To maintain and repair high-pressure hydraulic systems used in earthmoving equipment, as well as disassemble and assemble all types of hydraulic/pneumatic cylinders.
  • To collaborate with the line manager in planning and executing mechanical & hydraulic systems initiatives related to steel manufacturing divisions such as Melt Shop, Electric Arc Furnace (EAF), Ladle Refining Furnace (LRF), and Continuous Casting Machine (CCM).
  • To develop a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule to ensure full preventative maintenance is carried out and lead the team to deliver effectively.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with SAP maintenance module.
  • Proficient in cylinder jacks dismantling.
  • Able to read and understand hydraulic drawings and symbols.
