
Medical Provider Role

A medical professional with a valid license to practice and be board certified or equivalent is required for this position.
The primary responsibility of the Medical Provider will be to provide high-quality clinical care to patients based on history, appropriate physical examination, available laboratory, imaging tests, and formulary for treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of relevant clinical work experience, postgraduate medical experience after graduating from medical college, preferably in low-resource settings.
Experience in programs relating to primary health care, maternal and child health, reproductive health, communicable and non-communicable diseases as well as emergency/outbreak response is preferable.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure environment are essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interact with patients, colleagues, and supervisors.
The selected candidate will participate in a 24-hour health service delivery system at the clinic/facility/hospital as per shift schedules.
They will also be responsible for managing and supervising other clinical staff as directed by the supervisor, participating in hiring processes if needed.
Additionally, the Medical Provider will be expected to provide health education to patients and community members concerning their diagnoses, healthy diets, physical activity, hygiene promotion, and disease prevention.
They will adhere to administrative directives with regards to work schedules, record keeping, patient communications, re-stocking of essential drugs, consumables, and other medical supplies.
Confidentiality and integrity are paramount in this role, and the Medical Provider will maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Other duties assigned by the supervisor must be performed accordingly.
Requirements
- Valid medical license to practice and board certification or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant clinical work experience, postgraduate medical experience after graduating from medical college.
- Experience in low-resource settings preferred.
- Experience in primary health care, maternal and child health, reproductive health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, emergency/outbreak response desirable.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous NGO experience.
- NGO experience preferable.
