Job Overview:

The Accounting Manager role is responsible for developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures. This includes verifying the accuracy of General Ledger and Trial Balance for all companies, authenticating cost of goods sold statements to ensure compliance, preparing monthly management accounts within tight deadlines, and finalizing quarterly and annual statutory accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective accounting processes and procedures that meet regulatory requirements.
  2. Verify the accuracy of financial statements, including General Ledger and Trial Balance, for all companies.
  3. Authenticate cost of goods sold statements to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  4. Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
  5. Finalize quarterly and annual statutory accounts in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  6. Maintain accurate intercompany/associate company balances and ensure timely reconciliation.
  7. Coordinate with the Tax Department for information/data required for tax returns and regulatory filings.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency in financial software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in accounting or finance.
  • Experience in a similar role in an IT or services industry.
