Job Title: Taxation Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Manager to join our team. As a Taxation Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of taxation, including tax planning, compliance, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Tax Deposits, Deductions & Returns:
    • Ensure that bank deducts and deposits tax in accordance with applicable tax laws.
    • Track bank advance tax deductions.
    • Prepare withholding tax, advance tax, and sales tax/FED statements/returns as required by applicable laws.
    • Prepare bank annual tax returns in consultation with tax council.
    • Ensure all relevant records of taxation are prepared and maintained.
    • Compute monthly Corporation tax liability.
    • Prepare Reconciliation of all indirect and direct tax ledgers.
  2. Taxation Planning & Implementation:
    • Develop and implement tax planning strategies and tax-efficient structures.
    • Assess the impact assessments of taxation laws for short (day-to-day) and longer-term business interests of the company.
    • Responsible for quality assurance of the taxation-related procedures/activities.
  3. Liaison with External & Internal Stakeholders:
    • Respond to all tax queries from branches and tax authorities.
    • Handle court cases, assessments/audit/appeals at tax forums and tax cash flow management.
    • Engage/assess and manage performance of tax consultants/lawyers.
  4. Compliance:
    • Manage corporate tax compliance, including review and submission of tax returns.
