**About this role:

A key position has opened up in a leading DataOps platform, offering the chance to develop expertise across multiple software engineering disciplines. This includes Airflow and data engineering, Kubernetes, cloud engineering, and more.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with distributed systems, including major cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. They should also be familiar with Apache Airflow, Python, and containers like Docker.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex problems for customers using Airflow, from optimizing configuration to identifying new bugs.

  • Collaborate with customers' data engineers, system admins, DevOps teams, and management to provide guidance and support.

  • Develop and maintain in-house tools and systems built on top of Airflow, contributing to the company's overall success.

  • Participate in paid on-call rotation and help maintain 24x7 coverage through a specified pager period.

What you'll bring:

  • Five years of professional experience in any industry.

  • Four years of experience with Python programming language.

  • One year of experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Containers.

  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow and its ecosystem.

  • Experience working with distributed systems and cloud providers.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers.

Bonus points if you have:
Experience managing an instance of Airflow, contributions to open-source projects, customer support experience, familiarity with SQL and PostgreSQL, or experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, dbt, or other similar data engineering tools.
