The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating financial crime risks associated with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Terrorist Financing (TF).

Responsibilities:

The Financial Crime Risk Specialist will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement AML systems for Mashreq Digital Bank Pakistan, ensuring quality and suitability of data maintained in AML and CDD systems.
  2. Review and take decisions on Transaction Monitoring alerts in line with local policies and procedures.
  3. Handle the SAR reporting process for Mashreq Digital Bank Pakistan to the Financial Monitoring Unit.
  4. Assist in the performance of Risk Assessment as mandated by Mashreq Bank Policies and Local Regulatory requirements.
Requirements:

To be successful as a Financial Crime Risk Specialist, you will require:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience in Financial Crime Compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders including senior officers both within country and Mashreq Group.
  • Good understanding of AML/TF risks and global trends around AML/TF risk mitigation.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory landscape on AML and Terrorist Financing.
