Job Title: Residential Life Coordinator

This role plays a pivotal part in the informal education system, providing an out-of-classroom experience that fosters self-learning and community growth.

The ideal candidate will provide pastoral care and intellectual guidance for residents, addressing any issues that may arise and offering stability and advice when needed. This position also involves maintaining a clean environment conducive to learning and safety.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining attendance records and ensuring punctuality among residents.
  2. Upgrading facilities in the residential areas to provide a comfortable living space.
  3. Ensuring discipline and order within and around the residential premises.
  4. Managing properties and verifying inventory on a regular basis.
  5. Maintaining accurate records of authorized individuals who pick up or drop off students.
  6. Creating a schedule for various activities, including meals, sports, study time, and leisure activities.
  7. Keeping common rooms well-equipped with TVs, newspapers, and periodicals.
  8. Organizing indoor games and recreational activities.
  9. Providing practical assistance to students in areas like personal hygiene and time management.
  10. Establishing and maintaining an atmosphere of higher learning and excellence.
  11. Enforcing adherence to rules and regulations.
  12. Coordinating with domestic staff and signing leave passes for students after verification.
  13. Initiating campaigns to promote positive lifestyle changes among students.
  • Encouraging daily recitation.
  • Promoting punctuality for five-time prayers.
  • Advocating for maximum time allocation to studies.
Notifying parents through SMS about student departures and arrivals.Properly disposing of garbage and sanitary items from the residential area.Recording emergency contact numbers for students and authorities.Checking unauthorized electrical appliance usage.Maintaining visitor records.Daily room inspections and tracking room allocations.Restricting overnight stays by outsiders.Ensuring student security and safety.Monitoring dress code compliance during classes.Keeping duplicate keys secure.Regular checks for objectionable items or posters in students' rooms.Preventing substance abuse and smoking within the residential area.Preventing political activities and politician visits.Inspecting for prohibited weapons or firearms.Establishing a student committee to focus on:
  • Promoting growth and development with a coherent worldview.
  • Designing a resident curriculum emphasizing respect, altruism, aspiration, persistence, empathy, and leadership.
  • Fostering an inclusive environment where differences are respected.
  • Cultivating a dispute-free educational living environment where students understand their responsibilities and mutual respect.
  • Assisting students in organizing a mess committee to oversee meal purchases and supplies.
  • Regularly inspecting the kitchen for cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Reporting negligence and deficiencies to the cook, ensuring proper food storage and handling.
  • Enforcing food collection and utensil return procedures.
  • Communicating meal serving timings.Requirements

Bachelor's degree with computer skills in MS Office and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
