Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Content Writer to join our Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to support our fundraising efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in creating engaging content for various channels and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.

The position requires strong writing and editing skills, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to support fundraising efforts.">
  • Create and edit a range of materials for various channels, including newsletters, articles, appeal letters, talking points, web content, e-communications, presentations, proposals, and cases for giving.">
  • Collaborate with Departmental Heads to ensure communication material reflects the mission and priorities of the organization.">
  • Manage external messages and conduct interviews to create and coordinate a development communications strategy.">
  • Design concepts and products/campaigns that meet our goals.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

">
  • ">
  • A graduate or postgraduate degree in English and Urdu (or a related field).">
  • At least three to five years of experience in Development or Direct Marketing and Communications.">
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities.">
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.">
  • Detail-oriented and accurate proofreading skills.">
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.">
  • Proficiency with computer programs and databases.">
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal).">

Preferable Supplementary Qualifications

  • Degree in Journalism, Communications, or Liberal Arts.">
  • Understanding of the academic environment.">
  • Experience and knowledge of fundraising programs.">
