The Department of Anaesthesiology is seeking a highly skilled Resident Medical Officer to join its team. The ideal candidate will have a valid PMDC registration and be responsible for providing clinical excellence in perioperative care.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct preoperative assessments of patients visiting the anaesthesia clinic, making initial management plans as necessary.
  2. Assess patients in the pain clinic and develop treatment strategies accordingly.
  3. Operating Room:
    1. Prepare theatres for scheduled surgeries, creating an optimal environment for patient care.
    2. Develop anaesthesia management plans tailored to individual patient needs.
    3. Administer anaesthesia according to assigned privileges, ensuring patient safety.
    4. Manage patients post-anesthesia, addressing any concerns or complications that may arise.
  4. Wards:
    1. Perform regular preoperative and postoperative rounds, monitoring patient progress.
    2. Collaborate with the acute and chronic pain management teams during daily ward rounds.
  5. ICU:
    1. Conduct initial assessments and develop management plans for ICU patients.
    2. Participate in daily rounds with the ICU consultant, sharing knowledge and expertise.
    3. Assume responsibility for patient care under the supervision of the consultant.
  6. Provide anaesthesia services in various settings, including labour rooms, radiology suites, and psychiatry wards.
  7. On-call duties involve attending to patient-related issues, counseling patients, and communicating with consultants as needed.
