Key Requirements and Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with urgent medical conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and provide immediate interventions for trauma, cardiac arrests, strokes, respiratory distress, and other critical conditions.
- Perform emergency procedures such as intubation, wound suturing, fracture stabilization, and resuscitation.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, and life-saving treatments as necessary.
Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care. Consult with specialists and facilitate patient transfers when needed.
Effective communication with patients and their families is essential, explaining diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Education & CertificationMedical degree (MBBS or MD) from an accredited institution. Valid PMDC License. Completion of an Emergency Medicine Residency or equivalent experience in ER settings.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with ER experience.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications.
Minimum 3-4 years of experience in ER, ICU, NICU.
