This role requires a high level of expertise in server administration, network infrastructure, and system security to ensure the smooth operation of servers, networks, and related systems.

The Server Administrator will be responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and security of the organization's server infrastructure. This includes:

  • Installing and Configuring Software, Hardware, and Networks: Ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance of systems.
  • Regular Monitoring and Maintenance: Identifying potential issues and performing necessary maintenance tasks to prevent downtime.
  • Implementing Best Practices and Protocols: Ensuring the security and efficiency of IT infrastructure by implementing best practices and protocols.
  • Monitoring Performance and Maintaining Systems: Ensuring optimal performance and making necessary adjustments to maintain systems according to requirements.
  • Troubleshooting Issues and Outages: Minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity by troubleshooting issues and outages.
  • Identifying System Requirements and Installing Upgrades: Ensuring systems remain up-to-date and secure by identifying system requirements and installing upgrades.
  • Creating and Monitoring Backups: Safeguarding data by creating and monitoring backups to prevent loss or unauthorized access.
  • Performing Account Setup for New and Existing Employees: Ensuring secure access and management of user accounts by performing account setup.
  • Tracking Emerging Technologies and Implementing Them: Staying ahead of the curve by tracking emerging technologies and implementing them in the organization.
  • Managing Network Servers and Technology Tools: Ensuring efficient and secure operations by managing network servers and technology tools.
  • Setting Up Workstations and Ensuring They Are Secure and Functional: Ensuring workstations are secure and functional by setting them up.
  • Implementing Security Through Access Controls, Backups, and Firewalls: Protecting against cyber threats by implementing security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
  • Upgrading Systems with New Releases and Models: Ensuring systems remain secure and functional by upgrading them with new releases and models.
  • Developing Expertise to Train Staff on New Technologies and Best Practices: Ensuring staff are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Building an Internal Wiki with Technical Documentation, Manuals, and IT Policies: Ensuring knowledge sharing and consistency by building an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals, and IT policies.
