Job Title: Senior MBU Technician

The Role of a Senior MBU Technician involves ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of cell site infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting electrical issues and maintaining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of MBU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot electrical issues and maintain KPIs of MBU (Network Availability Rate, Fuel Consumption, Kilowatt Hours, Preventive Maintenance Audits & Success Rate).
• Inspect and maintain power equipment to ensure they are in working condition.
• Installation, maintenance, and repair of Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS).
• Installation, Troubleshooting, and diagnostic testing of Rectifiers (Emerson, ZTE, Huawei) and Rectifier batteries (Li-ion cells).
• Monitor and manage loads of all mobile operators through monitoring tools.
• Identify and troubleshoot causes of Diesel Generator problems and failures.
• Perform Acceptance Testing and Put into Service (ATP) of Solar projects, Generators, Rectifiers, etc.
• Identification and rectification of DCACs.
• Identification of Commercial supply faults.
• Ensure that all tower operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
• Report any safety hazards or concerns to supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of tower operations.
• Non-Telco Spares and inventory management of cell sites.
• Ensure that PMs should be performed by vendor with good quality. Vendor should complete/perform PM of sites within given PM cycle and audit sites regularly.
• Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the proper installation of tower components.
• Follow all safety regulations and HSE protocols.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical/Electronics with 5 to 7 Years of Relevant experience.
• Expertise in Power infrastructure on BTS Cell Sites, both AC & DC, Rectifiers, and RMS troubleshooting.
• Experience of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of non-telco equipment.
• Customer-centric approach to identify and fix network issues.
• Flexibility of working hours in case of operational emergencies.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experienced in small to medium-level team management.
• Good reporting skills.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, hard worker, and out-of-the-box thinker.
