Digital Learning Developer Role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Learning Developer to join our team. This role involves coordinating the production and updating of digital course materials and assessments, particularly for Moodle.

  • This includes creating engaging content, developing effective learning strategies, and providing technical support to staff and students.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Moodle and other Virtual Learning Environment platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop high-quality digital content that meets accessibility and copyright standards.
  • Collaborate with academic staff and course teams to implement effective synchronous and asynchronous digital learning strategies.
  • Provide training sessions and workshops on digital tools and instructional design.
  • Manage and maintain learning content across platforms, resolving technical issues as needed.
  • Explore and integrate innovative digital tools to improve learning outcomes and user experience.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an educational institution.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Suite, and educational software tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support academic staff and students.

Education and Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Education or Instructional Design.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on digital learning environments.

Technical Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Moodle and other VLE platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Google Suite, and educational software tools.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support academic staff and students.
