Job Title: Technical Support Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Junior Application Support Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for analyzing and troubleshooting software and system functionality issues, as well as providing assistance with product installations and knowledge-base documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and investigate software and system functionality issues, integrations, product feature-function, and adoption issues.
  • Develop and maintain SQL scripts and other custom software processes.
  • Perform simple product installations, providing a pathway into professional services or hosted consulting, pre-sales, engineering, product management, and more.
  • Create high-quality knowledge-base documentation and assist with expanding our self-service portal and customer happiness by developing top-notch training modules and videos.
  • Provide insights used to improve existing solutions and plan next-generation solutions.
  • Collaborate with other teams and departments to quickly identify and resolve issues and provide customer insights that aid in development of bug fixes, new product functionality, and features.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant industry experience or demonstrated capability in a similar role.
  • Experience developing with Java.
  • Experience with Spring frameworks and/or Spring Boot.
  • Experience with SQL databases and the SQL programming language.
  • Ideal candidate has experience using ORMs such as Hibernate.
  • Comfortable learning new languages.
  • Awareness of common software design patterns.
  • Understanding of the full Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Self-motivated problem solver.
  • Excellent written communication skills in English at a business level.
  • Excited about enhancing UI and UX skills.
  • Computer Science degree or equivalent required.
