Job Description

The Lecturer - Anesthesia Technology is responsible for teaching assigned courses as per faculty workload policy. They assist in the development of learning materials, preparing schemes of work and maintaining records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.

The role also involves contributing to the development of module information packs, assignments and examination questions. Assessing students' progress and providing feedback is an essential part of this job.

The successful candidate will be expected to continue developing their own teaching and learning skills, and contribute to the planning of teaching programs. They will employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.

Liaising and maintaining good relationships with academic colleagues and colleagues in practice is crucial for this role. Supervising student projects, field trips and placements is also a key responsibility.

The lecturer will set, mark and assess work and examinations, providing feedback to students. They will update data in VLE and other required software as per requirements.

Fostering Islamic and ethical values in teaching is an important aspect of this role. Participating in departmental and university committees is also expected.
