Laboratory Support Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Check and process laboratory tests prescribed by doctors
  • Brief patients about laboratory test and procedures
  • Hand over laboratory test reports to concerned individuals after checking necessary details
  • Handle cash and credit transactions; maintain records of excess/shortage of cash according to laboratory policy
  • Confirm test requirements with patients, provide verbal/written instructions
  • Handle telephonic and in-person inquiries regarding laboratory tests, schedule patient's appointments for special tests

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least two years of relevant work experience, including one year of experience as a Phlebotomist
  • Good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
  • Good command over use of computers and basic applications
  • Adequate knowledge of laboratory tests and procedures
  • Flexibility to perform shift duties

Additional Information

Candidates must have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of laboratory procedures. A background in phlebotomy is preferred. Comprehensive employment reference checks will be conducted.
