Job Overview:

A Legal Counsel will provide critical support to senior legal staff on various matters, focusing on contract management, compliance monitoring, and regulatory research. This role contributes to the management of intellectual property and ensures compliance with corporate governance requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Drafting and Negotiation of Contracts: Assist in drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with local and international laws.
  • Regulatory Research: Conduct thorough legal research on regulatory changes related to data privacy, intellectual property, and corporate law.
  • Dispute Management: Support pre-litigation dispute management by preparing documentation and liaising with external counsel.
  • Intellectual Property Protection: Assist in protecting and enforcing the company's intellectual property rights.
  • Corporate Governance: Contribute to the development of corporate governance policies and ensure compliance across departments.
  • Legal Risk Assessments: Conduct basic legal risk assessments and present findings to senior legal staff for decision-making.
  • External Stakeholder Communication: Foster communication with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and business partners.
  • Intellectual Property Portfolio Management: Assist in managing the company's intellectual property portfolio, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Qualifications:
  • L.L.B. / L.L.M degree with 2+ years of transaction/corporate experience (1 year of litigation experience with a law firm is preferred).
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Track record of drafting, reviewing, and revising agreements coupled with outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competent in legal research.
  • Ability to work flexible hours during U.S shift times.
