English to Chinese Translator

We are seeking an English to Chinese translator to join our team. This is a full-time role located in Karachi.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for translating documents, meetings, and communications from English to Chinese and vice versa. They will also be required to proofread translations, ensure cultural relevancy, and maintain the original meaning and context of the material. Additional tasks include coordinating with different departments to meet translation needs and assisting in the localization of content for Chinese-speaking audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fluency in English and Chinese, including excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
  • Translation and proofreading skills
  • Ability to ensure cultural relevancy and maintain the original meaning and context of the translated material
  • Coordination and organizational skills to meet translation needs across different departments
  • Experience in content localization and familiarity with Chinese culture preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Chinese Language, Linguistics, or a related field preferred
  • Prior translation experience is a plus
