Role Summary

The Payment Analyst role is a key position in the Settlements & Disputes department, responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and traceable financial adjustments.

This includes handling manual adjustments across various transactions, investigating and resolving negative balances, identifying and resolving unreconciled entries, collaborating with teams to resolve issues, and escalating high-risk problems to leadership.

Maintenance of accurate records, memos, SLAs, and processing manuals is also an essential part of this role.

  • Adjustment Processing: Handle and post manual adjustments across various financial transactions.
  • Negative Balance Recovery: Assist recovery agents in investigating and resolving negative balances.
  • Anomaly Investigation: Identify and resolve any unreconciled entries with support from relevant teams.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Collaborate with different teams such as Settlements and Customer Experience.
  • Risk Flagging: Escalate high-risk issues and suggest mitigation plans to leadership.
  • Process Documentation: Maintain accurate records, memos, SLAs, and processing manuals of all given tasks.

Requirements
  • Experience: 0–2 years in processing, settlements, or reconciliation in fintech or banking.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision is crucial in this role, requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills are required to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication skills are necessary to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
