Job Overview

A skilled accounting professional is sought to manage the financial functions for multiple entities. This role involves recording daily transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, managing intercompany transactions, coordinating with external accountants, and ensuring compliance with filing requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Record all financial transactions, including sales, expenses, payroll entries, and inventory adjustments.
  2. Maintain organized, up-to-date accounting records for all entities.
  3. Reconcile bank, credit card, and payment processor accounts monthly, ensuring all transactions are properly categorized and supported with documentation.
  4. Record and reconcile intercompany transfers, charges, and loans, ensuring intercompany accounts net to zero at each month-end close.
  5. Perform complete month-end close for each entity, prepare and deliver P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements by the agreed timeline, and provide variance analysis comparing actual results to budget or forecast.
  6. Provide timely documentation to external accountants for quarterly and annual filings, support audits with necessary records and schedules, maintain accurate sales tax records, and file returns on schedule.
  7. Monitor daily cash balances and upcoming obligations, alert management of potential cash shortfalls in advance, maintain a rolling 12-month cash forecast, and recommend process improvements for greater accuracy and efficiency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-entity environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software, such as QuickBooks Online or Xero
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

This is a hands-on role that requires accuracy, timeliness, and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently and collaboratively as part of a leadership team.
