About the Team

The Data Science team drives competitive value through AI models that optimize user experiences, decision-making, operational efficiencies, and lead the regional AI ecosystem. As a leader, you'll be at the forefront of fulfilling this mission, working with top data science talent, leveraging AI to solve everyday problems in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a long-term strategy on customer acquisition and engagement, leveraging data-driven insights.
  • Drive exploratory analysis to understand ecosystems, user behavior, and identify new levers for metric improvement.
  • Shape and influence data/ML models to optimize product experiences and generate insights on new areas of opportunity.
  • Provide leadership by sharing data-based recommendations to communicate business performance, root cause analysis, and experimentation results.
  • Implement scalable machine learning algorithms for production use on big data.
  • Embark on exploratory data analysis projects to uncover untapped growth areas and optimization opportunities.
  • Answer complex analytic questions from big data sets to inform product and service development.
  • Help define and track key metrics for specific projects.
  • Design and run randomized controlled experiments, analyze results, and communicate findings with other teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience in data mining, predictive modeling, time series analysis, machine learning, Big Data methodologies, data transformation, and cleaning.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Strong problem-solving and coding skills.
  • Solid knowledge of marketplace problems in ride-hailing and delivery services.
  • Solid understanding of AB testing, classic ML, and DL concepts.
  • Fluency in English, excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, Hive, and database technologies.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and business intelligence tools.
