Job Title

The Production Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in the smooth operation of the production department.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Monitor Management and Maintenance Logs. Stay informed about current challenges and risks.
  2. Regularly visit each section to Oversee Staff Work and operations, ensuring adherence to standards and protocols.
  3. Maintain Comprehensive Knowledge. Stay up-to-date with all activities related to milk powder production, including equipment operation and process areas.
  4. Ensure Seamless Functioning. Foster an environment of productivity and efficiency within each section of the production department.
  5. Provide Guidance and Training to shift engineers, empowering them to manage plant operations effectively.
  6. Prepare detailed activity reports for the plant and engage in discussions with the Production Manager to drive continuous improvement.
  7. Assume Responsibility. Maintain stability and continuity when overseeing tasks in the absence of the Production Manager.
  8. Support Shift Engineers. Offer support and guidance during abnormal situations to minimize losses.
  9. Possess both theoretical and practical knowledge of equipment operation across various process areas, enabling informed decision-making.
  10. Forge strong relationships with other departments to optimize quality and productivity, driving business success.
  11. Address abnormalities and non-conformities by implementing corrective and preventive measures, upholding high standards.
  12. Offer practical solutions and guidance to minimize losses, promoting a culture of excellence.
  13. Communicate processing parameters and working procedures to staff, emphasizing adherence to SOPs to ensure consistency.
  14. In the absence of the Production Manager, verify and sign dispatch notes for cream, butter, and milk powder.
  15. Emphasize personal and plant hygiene among staff, educating them on compliance with instructions and promoting a safe working environment.
  16. Document shift activities in the management logbook and convey new instructions from higher management.
  17. Report process abnormalities promptly and take necessary actions to prevent recurrence, demonstrating proactive risk management.
  18. Coordinate maintenance activities with the engineering department, optimizing equipment performance and minimizing downtime.

  • Adhere to industry standards such as HALAL, ISO, HACCP, Environment, URSA, Punjab Food Authority, and PSQCA.
