Jr. Engineer - Risk & Safety

Job Overview

This role involves working as part of the Risk & Safety Team based in Islamabad; the job incumbent will be responsible for processing of documents as per the different program/process requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of the fundamentals of safety & risk engineering.
  • Experience in various phases of project life cycle; feasibility/concept studies, FEED, Detail Engineering/EPC, Operation.
  • Expertise in: QRA, FERA, EERA, ESSA, Safety Case/COMAH.
  • Scribing of safety workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, etc.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

General Requirements

- Education: Full-Time Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering (or equivalent) from an accredited, reputable university.
- Experience: 2-5 years' experience in Technical Safety Consultancy Services in the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Sector.
- Setup: Candidate will work as part of the Risk & Safety Team based in Islamabad; he/she shall be reporting directly to Senior Team Leader.

Knowledge and Skills:

Desirable Skills

- Must have a minimum working experience in PHAST/SAFETI software, PHA Pro software.
- Knowledge with Detect3D (or equivalent F&G Mapping software) and FLARESIM software will be considered as a plus point.
- Good English and local language skills are desirable.
