Procurement Expert Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that will require you to have a deep understanding of procurement operations, supplier sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and relationship building.

As a Procurement Expert, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing potential suppliers and third-party manufacturing partners based on safety, quality, capacity, capability, and cost-effectiveness. You will conduct thorough due diligence to ensure suppliers meet quality and regulatory standards and govern compliance regularly evaluating supplier performance.

Key responsibilities include negotiating pricing, payment terms, and agreements with suppliers and third-party manufacturers to secure the best possible terms; drafting and managing contracts, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met; developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and external manufacturing partners, fostering open communication and collaboration; regularly assessing supplier performance and addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.

Collaboration with internal teams including production, logistics, quality assurance, planning, and regulatory affairs is essential to ensure smooth production and delivery processes. Monitoring and managing inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory is also critical.

Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and developing mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions, as well as staying updated on industry trends and market dynamics that could impact the supply chain, are key skills required for this role.

Collecting and analyzing data related to supplier performance, costs, and other relevant metrics, generating regular reports to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement, and identifying opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs within the third-party manufacturing supply chain are additional responsibilities.

This role requires a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or Supply Chain. The ideal candidate should possess excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills; a strong understanding of financial aspects related to procurement activities; results-driven behavior; strategic thinking; and outstanding idea generation skills.
