  • The general ledger must be maintained and balanced in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner. This involves recording all financial transactions, including revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, and equity.
  • Account payable functions include reviewing, coding, and processing payments. This includes verifying invoices, checking for errors, and ensuring that payments are made on time.
  • Account receivable functions involve invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition. This includes sending out invoices, tracking payments, and ensuring that customers pay their bills on time.
  • Financial reports must be prepared through the collection, analysis, and summarization of data. This includes preparing balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting policies, rules, and regulations must be interpreted and applied to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards. This includes understanding tax laws, financial reporting requirements, and other regulatory guidelines.
Job Requirements
  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience as a bookkeeper is required for this position.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary for performing financial analysis and creating financial reports.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is essential for automating financial tasks and improving efficiency.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with colleagues, managers, and clients.
  • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required for ensuring the accuracy of financial data and reports.
