We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to contribute to the success of our organization by performing a variety of tasks related to medical billing.

About the Role

This position is responsible for electronically billing all third-party patient claims, including processing rejections, posting insurance payments, performing monthly patient statement billing and itemized billings as requested.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate data entry of payments received from third party payers.
  • Process all rejected and denied claims submitted to third party payers efficiently.
  • Collaborate with electronic remittance advices or electronic payment systems.
  • Reconcile daily cash receipts from insurance carriers with database and submit to supervisor at the end of the workday.
  • Enter pertinent patient information/details in the health records database completely and accurately.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to follow up on commercial insurance, Medicare and Medicaid denials.
Requirements

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing procedures and relevant rules and regulations.
