**About the Role**

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Engineer to lead the delivery of impactful projects that enhance the educational experience for millions of students worldwide. As a key member of our team, you will work on cutting-edge features that directly influence how students and advisors interact with their academic journey.

The ideal candidate will have a rare blend of curiosity, creativity, and business acumen with the ability to deliver pragmatic solutions at high velocity with uncompromising quality. They will ensure each project prioritizes student and advisor needs, driving meaningful impact in academic decision-making.

You will maintain high standards for code quality, following best practices like accessibility (WCAG 2.2) and security (OWASP Top 10). You will collaborate closely with Product Managers and engage in customer discussions to ensure alignment with project goals.

As a mentor, you will guide junior engineers, fostering their development and growth. You will also contribute to broader engineering initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and technical scalability.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Lead the delivery of impactful projects that improve course planning interfaces or optimize backend systems for faster, more reliable performance.
  • Maintain high standards for code quality, following best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and engage in customer discussions to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering their development and growth.
  • Contribute to broader engineering initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and technical scalability.

**Technical Expertise:**

  • Database Management: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with ElasticSearch and AWS is a plus.
  • Testing & Code Quality: Experience with automated testing tools like PyTest, Jest, or Cypress, as well as CI/CD pipelines.
  • Project Delivery: Proven track record of delivering impactful projects in close collaboration with PMs and designers, measuring real-world outcomes.
  • Mentorship: Growth is core to our culture. You will guide junior engineers, helping them develop technical skills and fostering their growth within the team.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: You will work closely with other teams like Product, Design, and Customer Success to ensure project alignment and execution.
