Production Planning Manager

We are seeking a Production Planning Manager with experience in the wooden furniture industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining master production schedules and plans in an ERP system within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create project schedules, review production schedules for each manufacturing department, and ensure efficient allocation of manpower and equipment to meet established deadlines.
  • Develop and maintain a program plan in the ERP system, ensuring it meets program milestones and identifies potential risks. Provide a production schedule and present it to operations teams for execution.
  • Review contract labor requirements and organize outside resources as needed.
  • Responsible for standardizing build practices to eliminate waste and develop process improvements.
  • Reporting and monitoring of production on a daily basis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of operations experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficient in using scheduling and resource planning software and ERP systems.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Action-oriented, proactive thinker, and problem solver.
  • Odoo ERP software implementation experience is an asset.
About This Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting on-time delivery of finished goods to customer orders through the management of master production scheduling and achievement of material continuity to the plant. They will analyze each step of the manufacturing process and make effective use of resources to deliver desired outcomes.
