Sportswear Designer

A creative professional responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and developing sportswear collections that meet the needs of athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design aesthetically pleasing and functional sportswear while considering market trends.
  • Develop strong design skills, including fashion design, sketching, rendering, pattern making, and technical drawing.
  • Familiarize yourself with garment construction techniques, sewing, assembly processes, fit, and sizing.
  • Select performance-oriented fabrics and materials suitable for specific sports and climates.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Fashion Design: Strong design sensibility and creativity.
  • Sketching and Rendering: Proficiency in hand sketching and digital rendering using software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Pattern Making: Understanding of pattern drafting and grading to create accurate templates for sportswear pieces.
  • Knowledge of Fabrics: Understanding of different textiles, their properties, and how they perform in various sports and activities.
