Job Description:

  • The job holder will be responsible for handling daily call operations in a humanitarian setting.
  • They will ensure quality and accurate data entry, capturing clear and concise caller notes in English, with a focus on rapid call handling.
  • The operator will treat all calls with empathy, respect, dignity, and understanding, commensurate with the sensitivity of the call and the vulnerability of the caller.
  • They will professionally manage distressing calls and relay accurate information to callers in a timely manner.
  • The job holder will liaise with supervisors and other operators to provide relevant information to callers when needed.
  • They will attend briefings, meetings, training, and performance improvement sessions called by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of four years of experience in a humanitarian context, preferably in a call centre or related field.
  • Experience working with datasets and linked applications is required.
  • Fluency in Arabic, English, and Urdu is essential, while proficiency in other languages like Pashto and Dari is desirable.
