Job Overview

This role involves designing, building, and supporting engineering activities related to cloud initiatives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud computing, automation, and DevOps practices.


Main Responsibilities:
  1. SLA Compliance: Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) as per contract requirements.
  2. Issue Resolution: Take the lead on urgent issues and projects, ensuring proper communication and resource allocation.
  3. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, build, support, and manage cloud-based infrastructure.
  4. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in Puppet Enterprise architectures and associated technologies.
  5. Process Methodology: Develop and maintain thorough process methodologies for all stakeholders.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with development engineering to create and deploy a CI/CD pipeline.
  7. Environment Development: Develop and implement environments for quality assurance, development, and testing.
  8. Application Deployment: Deploy and support applications in a cloud environment.
  9. Infrastructure Security: Ensure the security, reliability, scalability, and automation of cloud environments.
  10. Server Support: Provide direct server support during deployment and production operations.
  11. Requirements Validation: Collaborate with developers to ensure new environments meet requirements and best practices.
  12. Infrastructure Design: Design, implement, and test agreed-upon infrastructures.
  13. Automation: Automate the deployment of Linux applications, system configurations, and security settings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  2. Experience: Minimum 3-7 years of experience in the professional industry.
  3. Puppet Scripting: Experience in scripting and building automation using standard technologies like Puppet.
  4. Puppet Automation: Develop automation code to deploy and maintain systems and applications using application orchestration software.
  5. DevOps: Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tooling.
  6. Virtualization: Knowledge of techniques used to virtualize servers, applications, and desktops.
  7. Automation Tools: Hands-on experience with automation tools like Ansible and Chef.
  8. Infrastructure Tools: Experience with infrastructure tools like Terraform and Cloud Formation.
  9. CI/CD Toolchain: Experience with CI/CD toolchains like Kubernetes.
  10. Scripting Languages: Basic level scripting experience in languages like Python, Ruby, Bash, and PowerShell.
  11. Linux Distributions: Experience with Linux distributions like Red Hat Enterprise Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Amazon Linux.
  12. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
